Bauchi Deputy Governor Resigns

Bauchi state Governor, Mohammed Abubakar has confirmed the acceptance of his Deputy, Nuhu Gidado’s resignation.

Nuhu Gidado resigned his position as Deputy Governor, to the Governor of the state, Mohammed Abubakar in a letter dated May 16, 2018.

In his letter, he cited a loss of interest in his job as the reason for his decision stating that, “Ordinarily, I should have remained up to the end of the tenure, but, with the currently dampened spirit and waning zeal as it relates to my official engagements, my continued stay will not be fair and truthful to you as my brother and leader”.

In recent times, Bauchi state has seen the resignation of two other senior officials from Governor Abubakar’s cabinet. In December 2017, Shehu Ningi, Commissioner for Budget and Planning put in his resignation while in March of this year, Samaila Sanusi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment also resigned.
