Another 210, of the reported 19000 children recruited by the South Sudan Militia, have been released.
Their release comes on the heels of the release, earlier, of the first batch of over 2000 child soldiers, due to the pressure being mounted on the militia by the U.N Mission in the country.
Farhan Haq, a representative of the United Nations, said the UN remained hopeful that more releases would come in the following months, with an estimated 1000 underage fighters being released.
The children, mostly in their pre-teenage and early teenage years, were forcefully recruited and made to engage in some gruesome activities.
The United Nations has also condemned the treatment of aid workers by both parties to the Sudan crisis, pointing out that violence restricts the world body from accessing the about-seven-million people in need of assistance.
