The world might soon be congratulating a 70-year old pregnant woman from Mexico for being the oldest mother ever recorded in history if her claims of being 6-months pregnant are verified, and she gives birth to a baby in 3 months’ time.
Maria de la Luz who is from Mazatlan, Sinaloa in Mexico has revealed that she is indeed 6-months pregnant and claims to have ultrasound results to prove her claim. She is said to be expecting a baby girl.
Maria who started to feel symptoms of pregnancy including vomiting and dizziness three months previously said “(I) have done around 10 ultrasounds in a private clinic and in the social security hospital (public hospital). The Doctors could not believe it”. She has not revealed if she had an In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) procedure.
The expectant mother says she hopes to have a caesarean-delivery because of her age.
Currently, Maria del Carmen Bousada de Lara who had a set of twins in December 2016 at the age of 66 and 358days holds the record for the oldest mother in history.
