Professor Wole Soyinka has opined that all past leaders of the Nation ought to have been tried as Nigerians are very much aware and disappointed by their corrupt practices. He expressed this at a meeting of anti-corruption agencies.

He further suggested that the EFCC team should set its focus on them, as it would not come up short.

The Centre for Anti Corruption and Open Leadership, CACOL, seems to support the notion as the director, Debo Adeniran made an open declaration for the Federal Government to begin trials of past administrations, as most past leaders in one way or the other are guilty of corruption or human rights violations.

Others contributions at the event iterated that except the former Heads of Government were brought to justice, the fight against corruption would be a mere act of chasing shadows.
