Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rorh has released a 30-man provisional list for the 2018 World Cup in Russia

FIFA earlier announced the deadlines for all competing nations for the submission of the initial 35-man squad list and the final and definitive list of the players who will participate at the 2018 Russia World Cup.

May 14 is the final date for the competing federations to submit an initial provisional list which can feature no more than 35 players with the final and definitive 23-man squad list being submitted at the FIFA offices no later than June 4.

Once the list has been submitted, the only circumstances that can see a federation call-up an additional player is injury, with a 24 hour window pre-2018 World Cup kick-off being permitted by each national team coach. The amendment will need to be accompanied by an independent medical analysis confirming the injury in question.

Nigeria will play two more friendly internationals against DR Congo, England and Czech Republic as preparation for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Gernot Rohr’s side will face DR Congo in Port Harcourt on 28 May.

World Cup-bound England will be Nigeria’s opponents on June 2, at Wembley, ahead of the final warm-up fixture against Czech Republic on 6 June.
