Lagos is not stopping its efforts at becoming a megacity, as recently the Lagos State Government has announced plans to install free wifi access points in Recreational Parks, Public Schools and Bus Terminals.
This was made public at a Ministerial press briefing in Ikeja yesterday by Mr Hakeem Fahm.
The parks to benefit from the scheme include the Ndubisi Kanu and Johnson park, Muri Okunola park and the Jakande Tinubu Parks. This is a way to enhance the social lives of Lagos residents and work towards making Lagos a smart city.
He said that the Smart City initiative is a fully robust platform that intends to drive Lagos’ economy 24 hours per day.
CCTV Cameras are also being put in place for surveillance monitoring throughout the state to enhance security, he further elaborated.
