Kate Moss, Heidi Klum and Liv Tyler are to pose for a series of portraits in a Mickey Mouse tribute book to be put together by fashion Photographer Rankin who is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the cartoon rodent.
Walt Disney’s most eminent creation, which was first presented in 1928, is, according to Rankin, much more than a character.
The project is titled “Mickey Mouse & Me” and Rankin has solicited the assistance of an army of models, actors, singers including Mark Hamill, Hayley Atwell, Tinie Tempah and TV presenter Phillip Schofield who are all using the opportunity to share their love for Mickey.
Copies of the book, which will show both black and white and colour pictures, will be auctioned online in July to raise funds for a children’s charity called “Together for Short Lives”.
The charity supports kids with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions to lead fulfilling lives.
