The quaint town of Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, England, has been introduced to a famous Nigerian drink by two brothers who lived their childhood in Nigeria.
Mike and Garry Robinson enjoyed the popular hand-mixed Chapman drink so much during their time in Nigeria as children that it became a dream for them to produce it for the UK market.
Despite a number of failed attempts to get the buy-in of UK drinks companies, their dream finally came to reality recently when one of such companies, Dohler took an interest and decided to come on board.
Chapman, no doubt, is Nigeria’s gift to the world.
Bottled Chapman is now commercially sold in some bars and cafes in Leamington and Warwick, and the Robinson brothers are working to have them sold in supermarkets across the UK.
Chapman is a signature Nigerian fizzy soft drink made with ingredients that generally include Orange, Lemon and Lime juice / flavour, Angostura bitters and Blackcurrant with Cucumber and fresh Mint leaves as garnish. The components can also be modified depending on individual taste.
