At the early hours of Friday morning, the General Secretary to the Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN), Musa Asake, died after an illness.
His brother, Jonathan Asake, a onetime member of the House of Representatives confirmed his death although details about the cause of death were not explicitly given.
His body has been deposited at the mortuary.
Before his death he was actively involved in the nationwide protest organised by CAN against the recent killings of Christians by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
