South Sudan: Salva Kiir suspends local airline after Fatal Crash

The South Sudanese President, Salva Kiir, Thursday, sacked the country’s Central Bank Governor, Mr Othom Roga Ajak, and his deputy, Mr. Tier Tong Ngor.

No reasons were given by the presidential decree of their sack, and no replacements have so far been made.

The nation has been hit with a record high inflation lately. This, however, was not noted as the cause for their dismissal.

Othom served for a year, as he was appointed in 2017 to revive the staggering economy of the country ravaged by war and economic hardships.
