Nigerian Singer Davido has won the artist of the year at the recently concluded 12th edition of the headies which took place at the Eko Convention Centre on Saturday. He also won best pop single of the year in addition to the song of the year award.
Pop star Wizkid won the Viewers Choice, Best Music Video and Best R&B and Pop Album awards.
Simi who received numerous nominations bagged the awards in the category of Best R&B Single, Best Recording of the Year and Album of the Year.
Other Notable mentions include MI Abaga, who won Best Single Rap Award, Small Doctor for Best Street Hip Hop Artist, Tiwa Savage for Best Collaboration of the year and Omawunmi for Best Female Vocal Performance while Praiz got the male equivalent.
