The Federal Ministry of Power, Works, and Housing has announced that it is earmarking 210 Billion Naira, for the second Niger Bridge.

The ministry’s Highway Bridges and Design director, Sogbesan Adetokunbo, during a press tour in Asaba, publicised that the procurement processes for the award of the project have begun.

The process starts with a memo, which has been sent to the Bureau of Public Procurement.

The memo would then be forwarded for the approval of the Federal Executive Council.

Adetokunbo said the second Niger Bridge was considered because the existing bridge had been overstretched.
