When you fully embrace who you are or that particular thing that makes you feel insecure, you are loving yourself already.

Self-love broken down individually means “self” which is you and I as individuals and “love” which means different things to different people, but in this concept, I will explain love as the ability to put yourself first.

I will like to refer to the bible in Mat 19:19 love your neighbor as you love yourself for Christians. For others, Tron said in a movie titled “game of thrones” “Never forget who you are because others will never forget, wear it like an armor and it will never be used against you”. When you fully embrace who you are or that particular thing that makes you feel insecure, you are loving yourself already.

Self-love has a way to change your relationships with friends, family, and acquaintances. You realize that it only hurts you to hold a negative grudge inside, if you love and care about yourself, you have to learn to let go and forgive.

You do yourself a favor and forgive because the person you hold a grudge against is walking freely while you carry a load on your chest.

Accept yourself

Accepting yourself means accepting everything about you, your imperfections, and your weaknesses because that is what makes us human. Accept that you are perfect because you are created in God’s image

Sometimes to face our reality is the hardest nut to crack, but when we accept the reality of our lives, it will give us present happiness and enable us to be happy too in the future.

Practice Radical Honesty

When you acknowledge your pretense, you will be able to see the lies in the truth. Living in denial won’t help anyone, if you deal with the bad stuff, it will help you to get the good stuff

When you are able to know and accept that the part you played before, have a way into your future, ask yourself how it has affected you so far, understand the mistake and work on it.

Remember that you cannot fix all things in your life and make it perfect, once you understand that there is a problem, you will understand that you need a solution for it. Failing opens new avenues for learning and growth.
