The International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL, has raised an alarm over the current spread of fake COVID-19 vaccines across Nigeria, South Africa, as well as the United States, and the United Kingdom.

INTERPOL has traced the spread of fake vaccines to criminals who have taken to online channels to advertise and sell the vaccines. The Law enforcement agency has also advised health regulatory bodies to do all to ensure that lives are protected and communities do not fall prey to the scam.

This spread of these vaccines comes on the heels of the approval of the British Owned Pfizer/BioNtTech vaccine which has now been approved by the WHO as the first to be approved in the world.

The UK approved vaccines are expected to be distributed en masse across the UK from next week.
